Amien Rais Relates Bank Century Case to An Episode of Jesus Christ's Life

MANADO, KOMPAS.com - The solution of the Bank Century case seems to be ending without any fruitful result, National Mandate Party Advisory Board (MPP PAN) chairman Amien Rais said here recently.  "For almost two months we have been keeping abreast of the drama of the Bank Century case but in reality it is ending without any significant conclusion," said the alumnus of Chicago University.
     
Speaking to hundreds of university students and North Sulawesi Governor Sinyo Hary Sarundajang, Amien Rais then likened the Bank Century case to an episode in the life of Jesus Christ as described in eighth chapter of Gospel of John. It was said that one morning when Jesus came to the temple where a multitude of people gathered around him, he sat down to teach them in the temple.

When Jesus was teaching, the teachers of the law and Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery and told  Jesus, "Master, this woman was caught in the act of adultery and in the Law, Moses commands us to stone this woman."
     
But Jesus stooped down and with his finger wrote on the ground as though he heard them not. When they kept on questioning Jesus, he lifted up himself and said the them, "If any one of you is without sin, let him  throw the first stone at her."
    
And they who heard it, being judged by their own conscience, went out one by one until Jesus was left alone with the woman still standing there.

When Jesus lifted up himself and saw none but the woman, he said to her, "Where are they?"  Has no one condemned you?".  "No one sir," the woman said. Finally Jesus said to the woman, "Neither do I condemn you. Go, and sin no more."
    
From this parable, Amien Rais, said the solution of Bank Century case was like a drama.
