Playboy Model: I'll Never Work in TV Again

KOMPAS.com - A former Playboy Model of the Year fainted in the dock after she was convicted of battering a brunette in a nightclub toilet. Louise Glover, 26, fell to the floor then howled and screamed hysterically as a judge told her yesterday he was keeping 'all sentencing options open'.

She had denied launching a vicious, unprovoked attack on DJ Maxine Hardcastle in a jealous rage over her husband, claiming she ripped her hair and 'whacked' her in self defence.

A jury of two women and nine men at Hove Crown Court took less than an hour to convict Glover of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

The trial heard the model struck Miss Hardcastle's head against a toilet rim up to 10 times and tried to push her head down the lavatory. Miss Hardcastle, the daughter of 1980s musician Paul Hardcastle, was left covered in blood with facial bruising, scratches on her arms and legs and hair loss.

Glover launched her vicious attack after accusing her of looking at her husband during a night out in Brighton, East Sussex. Glover, whose last UK address was Audley Gardens, Loughton, claimed the injuries Miss Hardcastle sustained were as a result of the cubicle door being kicked in.

She was released on conditional bail to reappear on February 4. Glover, who has also posed for the Daily Sport newspaper and a host of lads' magazines, escaped jail in 2006 after she failed to carry out a community service order imposed for benefit fraud.

She had been ordered to carry out 240 hours of unpaid work in August 2005, after she admitted falsely claiming 15,000 in benefits while also working as a model.
